Is NoHonor free?
Yes. You need a free account to play, including games against bots. There is nothing to download.
What do I need to play?
A phone, tablet or computer with a modern browser. You can play on your phone as well as on a tablet, laptop or desktop.
How many people can play?
Three to six per table. A public table starts as soon as four players are waiting, and fills up to six. If fewer than four turn up within a minute, bots take the empty seats and the game starts anyway.
How long is a game?
About 15 to 25 minutes with four players and the default 45-second turn timer. The tutorial game takes about ten minutes.
Is it the same as Cluedo?
The deduction is the same idea, with a new crime. Instead of suspects, weapons and rooms, NoHonor has six crew members, six methods and nine locations, and you are solving a double-cross instead of a murder. A few rules differ for online play; the biggest is that you accuse from inside a location. See Settling the Rules of Cluedo for a side-by-side.
How do I play with my friends?
Choose With friends to open a private room. You get a room code and a link to share. Anyone with either can take a seat, as long as they have an account. The host can add bots, set the turn timer and choose whether the notes assistant starts on.
Can we play with only two?
Not yet. Games start at three players: add a bot and two friends can play a full game right now. A separate two-player mode is coming soon. More in Three to Six Players.
Do I have to show a card if I can?
Yes. If you hold any of the three cards in someone's question and nobody before you has answered, you must show one. If you hold more than one, you choose which. You have 15 seconds to pick.
Can I name a card I hold myself?
Yes. It is a useful trick: naming your own cards forces the question onto the cards you do not know. See NoHonor Strategies.
What happens if my accusation is wrong?
You are out of the running: no more moves, questions or accusations. You stay at the table and still show cards when your hand matches someone's question. You get one accusation per game, so make it count.
Do I have to be in the location I accuse?
You must be inside a location to accuse, but you can name any of the nine.
Do the bots cheat?
No. Bots see only what a player in their seat would see: their own cards and the cards shown to them. Pick Easy, Normal or Hard to set how sharp their deductions are.
What is the notes assistant?
A helper that fills in your notes sheet: your own cards, every card shown to you and every "no match". It is always on in the tutorial. At other tables the host sets the default (off unless they change it), and you can switch it off for yourself.
What if I lose my connection?
Rejoin the game from the same account and you are put back in your seat. CHECK · what bots do with a seat while its player is away.
Is there chat?
The table has four quick reactions. Typed chat is planned for later.
