How to Throw a Heist-Themed Game Night

For a heist-themed game night, give every guest a crew role and a code name, hand each one a small mission for the evening, and finish with a deduction game where someone at the table took the loot.

Give everyone a role

Borrow the NoHonor crew or invent your own:

Role Code name Evening mission
The Brain Selim Plans the night and keeps time
The Cat Adriana Must "steal" one object from the host's shelf without being seen
The Ghost Lena Runs the music and the lights
The Alchemist Céleste Mixes the drinks (alcohol-free options for everyone)
The Merchant Rafael Must convince someone to swap an item with them
The Captain Marcus Plan B: in charge of snacks when they run out

Invites and dress code

Send the invite as a "job briefing": a time, an address and a dress code of dark clothes plus one item in your character's colour. A printable set of role cards in the NoHonor card style is in the game-night kit.

Food and drink with code names

  • "The Vault": a cheese board under a glass dome.
  • "The loot": a bowl of chocolate coins.
  • "Getaway fuel": coffee, tea and a non-alcoholic punch.

Activities

  1. The briefing (15 minutes). Hand out roles and missions.
  2. The job (45 minutes). Play board or party games while everyone tries to complete their mission.
  3. The split (30 minutes). Finish with NoHonor: one of the crew emptied the safe overnight. Play on phones around the table, or on a TV with friends in the room.

Finish with NoHonor

NoHonor seats up to six per table. For bigger parties, open two private rooms and compare who solved it fastest.
