The sheet
Your case notes list every card under three headings: Who took it (6 crew), How they cracked it (6 methods) and Where it's stashed (9 locations). There is a column for each player.
The symbols
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ✓ | This player holds this card (you saw it, or it's yours) |
| ✕ | This player does not hold this card |
| ? | This player might hold it (they showed one of three cards to someone else) |
| ○ | Your own working note |
What to mark after each question
- Someone shows you a card: tick that card in their column and cross it in everyone else's.
- Someone says no match: cross all three named cards in their column.
- Someone shows a card to another player: put a ? on the three named cards in that player's column. When two of the three are crossed, the third is a tick.
The notes assistant
The assistant marks your own cards, every card shown to you and every "no match". It is always on in Learn by playing. At other tables the host sets the default (off unless changed) and every player can switch it off for themselves.
It does not draw conclusions for you. Turning a row of crosses into "this must be in the stash" is still your job.
A worked example
You ask: Lena, with the drill kit, in the Office. Marcus has no match, so you cross Lena, Drill kit and Office in his column. Céleste shows you the Drill kit: tick it for her and cross it for everyone else. Now Lena and the Office are still possible, and you know Marcus holds neither.
