When you can accuse
- Once per game. There is no second try.
- From inside a location. You can accuse at the start of your turn if you are already in one, or after you move into one.
- About any location. You must stand in a location, but you can name any of the nine as the hiding place.
How to accuse
- Move into a location (or start your turn in one).
- Tap Accuse.
- Pick one crew member, one method and one location.
- Confirm. The table sees that you are opening the stash, and you see the three cards.
Right or wrong
| Result | What happens |
|---|---|
| Right | You win and the case is closed. |
| Wrong | You take no more turns and cannot accuse again. You stay at the table and still show cards when your hand matches someone's question. |
Common mistakes
- Accusing on a hunch. If two methods are still possible, you have a coin flip, not an answer.
- Forgetting the location can be anywhere. You don't need to walk to the hiding place.
- Missing a "no match". A player who couldn't show any of three cards holds none of them. Check the case log before you commit.
Questions
What if everyone else accuses wrongly? CHECK · confirm the NoHonor rule when only one player is left in the running.
Do the others see what I accused? CHECK · confirm whether the case log shows the three cards named.
